Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger recently debuted his new, clean-cut look on social media. It appears his trip to the barbershop amid the ongoing shutdown due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic did not sit too well with Governor Tom Wolf.

Wolf was not happy with one of the state's most high-profile figures ignoring the precautions in place, via TMZ Sports:

“My concern is just a general concern,” Wolf said on Tuesday. “Anybody who puts himself or herself into harm’s way is something that I think we have to try to avoid.”

“When you go to something like a barbershop and you’re not protected, I don’t care who you are, the chances of that virus actually wreaking havoc on your life increases.”

“I don’t personally think any Pennsylvanian ought to take that chance. I certainly don’t want to take that chance myself.”

The barbershop the Steelers star visited was in Allegheny County, which still has yet to lift the restrictions currently in place. Regardless, Wolf has yet to determine whether or not he will look into the situation.

For Roethlisberger, the haircut was more symbolic than anything. He had been growing out the hair and beard ever since he went down with a season-ending elbow injury in Week 2. It seems the cut was supposed to represent the notion that he is now 100% healthy.

Although Roethlisberger's decision may have irked Wolf, it is safe to say that Steelers fans are happy to have their franchise quarterback back in the mix.

Regardless, he may want to start making efforts to take the necessary precautions until the state declares otherwise.
