The Pittsburgh Steelers boast one of the NFL’s best defenses a quarter of the way through the season. On Sunday, the rejuvenated Cleveland Browns, who are off to a strong 4-1 start this season and are coming off a big win against the Indianapolis Colts last week, got a taste of it early in the first quarter.

Early in the first quarter, Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick made his presence felt, intercepting Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield and taking it all the way for a touchdown, giving Pittsburgh a 10-0 lead with 8:58 left in the quarter.

This was Fitzpatrick’s first interception of the season after tallying five in 2019, which was his first season with the Steelers after being traded by the Miami Dolphins two games into the year. The safety fit perfectly in Pittsburgh last season, and he earned his first Pro Bowl selection and was a First-Team All-Pro member for the first time in his young career.

Fitzpatrick, who was selected by the Dolphins with the 11th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Alabama, scored the third defensive touchdown of his NFL career on this play. The Steelers are looking to move to 5-0 on the season.
