The injury status of Chris Paul has been one of, if not the most important aspect the Phoenix Suns have kept a close eye on as they head into their Game 3 matchup against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night. CP3 has been a key cog for the Suns all season long, and it was clear that the team struggled without their talisman on the floor in Game 2.

The good news for Phoenix is that Paul will play in Game 3 on Thursday. This report comes via Suns team insider John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports:

Paul suffered a shoulder injury in Game 1 and he was clearly not at full strength in the Suns' Game 2 loss on Tuesday. The 10-time All-Star played just a couple of minutes down the stretch and there's no denying that the Suns are a much better team whenever their floor general is on the court.

There was some doubt if Paul was going to be able to suit up for Game 3 as the series shifts to LA, but as it turns out, CP3 is good to go. This is certainly a welcome development for the Suns who will be looking to exact some revenge after the Lakers stole Game 2 in Phoenix.

It is worth noting, however, that Paul is likely not going to be at a hundred percent. He may be forced to play limited minutes as he did in Game 2. It goes without saying that CP3's health will play a vital role in how this tightly-contested series unfolds.
