The NBA has fined Phoenix Suns star shooting guard Devin Booker $25,000 for his altercation with Minnesota Timberwolves big man Gorgui Dieng.

Tuesday night in Phoenix, Devin Booker and Gorgui Dieng got into a scuffle and Booker was seen hitting Dieng. Both players were ejected from the game.

After Devin Booker and Gorgui Dieng were ejected, both players signaled to the other to meet in the back and continue the fight. Security at Talking Stick Resort Arena had to hold back Booker, who was trying to run to the back and meet up with Dieng.

The Suns lost to the Timberwolves by a final score of 118-91. Phoenix has the worst record in the Western Conference at 11-38.

Devin Booker signed a lucrative five-year, $158 million maximum contract extension with the Suns before the 2018-19 season started, so he'll be able to afford this fine with relative ease. The sharpshooter is averaging 24.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game this season while shooting 45.2 percent from the field, 31.8 percent from beyond the arc and 83.5 percent from the free-throw line.

Phoenix takes on the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday. The team is currently on a five-game losing streak and they will have their hands full with Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum on Thursday.
