After the Phoenix Suns fell to the Dallas Mavericks in Game 4 of their playoffs series on Sunday, Chris Paul took to Twitter not to react to the loss but lambast the fans harassing family members of the players.

“Wanna fine players for saying stuff to the fans but the fans can put they hands on our families….fuck that!!” Paul wrote in his angry complaint to the NBA.

While it's not initially clear what prompted Paul to send out the tweet, it is now being reported that some Mavs fans put their hands on his mom and wife during the contest. According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, CP3's kids also “felt very unsafe” after witnessing the shocking turn of events.

There are also videos circulating online allegedly showing the incident. Chris Paul can clearly be seen complaining to security and appearing to say “he put his hands on my mom.”

There is certainly no room for such acts in the NBA. While it is normal for fans to trash talk and tease the opponents to give their team the advantage, there are certain lines that should never be crossed. Involving family members who were there just to support their families is one of them.

Sure enough, the NBA is expected to look into the Mavs-Suns incident. Considering that the league has been strict in punishing fans that go over the line and violate policies, there could be major repercussions after the incident.

Hopefully, it won't happen again or will at least be prevented in the future.
