The Houston Texans are getting set to battle the Jacksonville Jaguars in an AFC South showdown this season, and Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins couldn't be happier about it, as it means he will be facing off against Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Hopkins says Ramsey is his favorite cornerback to play against because he is actually a No. 1 corner:

“He's my favorite corner to play against,” Hopkins said, via Mark Berman of Fox 26. “He's the only in the NFL that actually follows me. You got to respect that. … No matter where I lineup he's right there in front of me. A lot of guys claim their No. 1 DBs, but not a lot of guys do that.”

As elite as Ramsey is on the defensive side, Hopkins is equally elite as an offensive player.

The 27-year-old is coming off of a Week 1 performance against the New Orleans Saints in which he caught eight passes for 111 yards and a couple of touchdowns in a heartbreaking 30-28 loss.

Hopkins, who played his collegiate football at Clemson, was originally selected by Houston in the first round (27th pick overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft.

Since then, Hopkins has made three Pro Bowl appearances while also earning a couple of First-Team All-Pro selections.

Last year, the Central, S.C. native hauled in 115 receptions for 1,572 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also led the league with 13 receiving scores in 2017, adding 96 catches for 1,378 yards to boot.

The Texans and Jaguars are both looking for their first win of the season, as Jacksonville fell to the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday.
