Houston Texans wide receiver Kenny Stills made a quick impression on head coach Bill O'Brien thanks to his work ethic. It seems quarterback Deshaun Watson has also started to take notice.

Although Stills has not been in town very long, he has managed to etch out an integral role for himself both on the filed and in the locker room. According to Mark Lane of the Texans Wire, Watson praised the veteran for his approach to practice every day:

“Kenny’s a guy that works hard,” Watson told reporters Wednesday. “He’s in here early, he’s here late, takes care of his body, played a lot of football, played a lot of football with different quarterbacks, different teams, so he’s seen a lot.”

Watson added that Stills has become quite a mentor and teammate in Houston.

“He comes in and helps all the young receivers, helps some of the older receivers, and helps myself,” said Watson. “He’s a great addition, he’s a guy that, like I said, he’s a professional and he’s going to do exactly what we need him to do and he’s going to play his role right and make plays for us.”

It is encouraging to see Stills has had no problem getting comfortable with his new team. He had been part of the blockbuster deal that also brought left tackle Laremy Tunsil to Houston. It seems he is starting to provide plenty of bang for his buck early on.

The rapport between Watson and Stills has already started to show. The two have connected for nine catches, 164 yards, and a touchdown on 12 targets through the first three games. If Stills continues to ut the work in, it is safe to assume that his role will only grow with each week.
