Houston Texans running back Lamar Miller suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter of his team's game against the New York Jets on Saturday and is questionable to return, per Rotoworld.

Miller had his ankle rolled up on at the end of a carry. He had accumulated eight yards on three attempts before exiting.

Miller is in the middle of one of the more impressive seasons of his career. Entering Saturday afternoon, he had rushed for 909 yards and four touchdowns while averaging 4.8 yards per carry. In addition, he had hauled in 23 receptions for 163 yards and a score.

The 27-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Miami, was originally selected by the Miami Dolphins in the fourth round (97th pick overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft.

He was only a part-time rusher for the Dolphins during his rookie campaign, finishing with 250 yards on the ground while reaching the end zone just once.

The following year, Miller became a bigger part of Miami's offense, totaling 709 yards and a couple of touchdowns. Additionally, he snared 26 balls for 170 yards.

He then proceeded to enjoy his first 1,000-yard campaign in 2014, racking up 1,099 yards and eight scores while averaging an impressive 5.1 yards per attempt.

Miller spent the first four years of his career with the Dolphins before signing a four-year, $26 million deal with the Texans in March 2016.

The Miami native accrued 1,073 yards and five scores during his first year in Houston, and last season, Miller finished with 888 yards and three touchdowns on the ground while catching 36 passes for 327 yards and three scores.
