One of the Houston Texans' biggest offensive players is headed to recovery after going under the blade. Laremy Tunsil should perform a lot better after getting a procedure done to fix his shoulder injury.

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle gave an update about the offensive tackle that should please many Houston fans that will count on him to protect Deshaun Watson without any hassles in the coming season. The issue reportedly sorted out by the operation was a torn labrum that he sustained earlier in the season.

Tunsil was a key component of the offensive line that helped the Texans reach the divisional rounds of the 2020 NFL playoffs. In his first season with the Texans, he immediately became one of the instrumental figures in keeping the quarterback safe from any kind of pass rusher.

In the 14 games he played for the Texans, he was able to line up on 86 percent of the team's offensive possessions. He didn't need much time to get used to the way Bill O'Brien was doing things with the team and quickly made his mark. He was so effective that he was named a Pro Bowler for the first time in his career.

He definitely had a great year, but he should be looking forward to taking his first successful campaign with the Texans one step further. They will want to make the Super Bowl, and Tunsil in his best condition should help ensure Watson gets enough time to make the perfect pass.

His operation this offseason should ensure that he starts the 2020 campaign on the right foot.
