After ruling the AFC South a season ago, the Houston Texans find themselves in a peculiar situation and has now sank to a cellar-dwelling 1-6 record. With the trade deadline just around the corner, a team like the Texans should already be on the lookout for more pieces to add to their depleted roster.

Although the outside noise can be consuming for the team, Texans interim head coach Romeo Crennel will stick to his vision and reassured his guys that they will not be traded come November 3, as per Houston Chronicle‘s Aaron Wilson.

The team attempted to salvage their campaign by previously parting ways with former head coach and general manager Bill O'Brien after an ugly start to the season. Crennel came in and won his debut game against the Jacksonville Jaguars but suffered losses against the Tennessee Titans and most recently, the Green Bay Packers.

The Houston-based squad continued their losing skid in Week 7 as opposing quarterback Aaron Rodgers had another masterful performance for the books. He led his team's offense from start to finish and concluded with a 35-20 blowout victory.

The struggles seem to have already grown on the players especially Texans defensive end J.J. Watt who was evidently seen clouded with disappointment after suffering another lopsided defeat in his home state of Wisconsin.

With Crennel not willing to part ways with the current guys inside his locker room, the team will have to improve and get better on their own instead. The slumping Texans will aim for another shot at redemption against the Jaguars in Week 9 action.
