Houston Texans running back Carlos Hyde scored on a 10-yard rushing touchdown against the AFC South division rival Tennessee Titans on Sunday in the two teams' Week 15 matchup, crossing the 1,000-yard threshold in a single season. It was the first time the 29-year-old Hyde reached the individual achievement in his six-year professional tenure (via NFL).

Hyde, a former second-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers from the 2014 draft out of Ohio State, was acquired by the Texans in the offseason in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs, who had signed him to a one-year deal earlier in March. Prior to that, Hyde had an overall down season for his standards, splitting time between the Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars, where he posted 571 rushing yards on 172 carries, scoring five touchdowns in 14 games.

Hyde appears to have found a symbiotic spot in Houston's backfield alongside fellow rusher Duke Johnson and franchise quarterback Deshaun Watson.
