Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers cannot be a man unto himself — he needs to have a formidable team behind him.

A quarterback cannot carry a team by himself, and Rodgers is no exception. No one knows this better than new Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, and that's why he and Brian Gutekunst are going to solidify the team as much as he can for his star player.

What Aaron Rodgers really needs is a good wide receiver to work with. According to FanSided, that wide receiver is none other than South Carolina wide receiver Deebo Samuel.

“Samuel isn’t the type of guy to just run away from coverage, but he is crafty enough to generate that separation to get passes completed. He dealt with sub-par quarterback play during his time at South Carolina, but he was talented enough to make up for that. There isn’t anything particularly special about the play below other than Samuel is just able to get open. That’s something that the best receivers do well.”

Ultimately, what set Aaron Rodgers back last season was his injury in Week 1, followed by a quick return to the field in Week 2, where he looked particularly out of sorts. And while this “out of sorts-ness” ultimately cost the team a chance at the championship — combined with the coaching situation leaving much to be desired — it seems to be all settled now thanks to Rodgers' healing and Matt LaFleur's presence.

With the right wide receiver behind him, Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are set to succeed. After all, the Packers already have one of the top wide receivers in the league in Davante Adams.
