As the day of the 2018 All-Star Game has finally arrived today at Staples Center in Los Angeles, it was projected by Bovada that Oklahoma City Thunder superstar point guard Russell Westbrook has the second-best odds to win the All-Star Game Most Valuable Player award on Sunday night in the game.

Thunder beat writer Fred Katz of the Norman Transcript tweeted out the odds on Sunday afternoon, as Westbrook is 28/5 to win the All-Star Game MVP. He is just behind Milwaukee Bucks superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has 19/4 odds to win the award later tonight.

Westbrook's teammate in star forward Paul George, who was selected to his fifth career All-Star Game as a replacement for injured New Orleans Pelicans star center DeMarcus Cousins, has 18/1 odds to take home the MVP on Sunday night.

Speaking of George, Westbrook also recently shut down rumors of the star forward leaving OKC to head to the Los Angeles Lakers next season.

Via a tweet from Thunder beat writer Erik Horne of The Oklahoman:

“That’s out!” Westbrook said. “Paul ain’t going nowhere. It’s over for that. See how quickly they silenced?”

If Westbrook wins the All-Star Game MVP award this year in Los Angeles, it would the third time in four years that he would take home that honor.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

The 29-year old Westbrook won 2017 NBA MVP award for the regular season last year when he averaged a triple-double per game. At the All-Star break, his numbers have dipped just a little but he is still averaging 25.4 points, 10.4 assists, 9.4 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game in 36.2 minutes of action per contest this season.
