Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Chris Paul is one of the smartest players in NBA history. He is also notoriously stingy.

The veteran helped the Thunder send a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves into overtime on Dec. 6 after Paul earned a technical free throw for OKC by alerting officials to Jordan Bell's untucked jersey, resulting in Minnesota's second delay of game infraction.

Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine understands Paul's competitive fire, and he thinks Paul could care less how the rest of the league views him (via Erik Horne of The Athletic):

Another conversation being had is that Paul is playing dirty pool by bringing attention to the most minute of infractions. The word “snitch” has even been thrown around on social media.

Paul’s clearly not worried about his reputation or the conversation around his taking advantage of the rules (or the conversation around his crafty use of the rip-through move). Paul responded to the Tony Brothers “thank, Chris Paul” video posted on Instagram with laughing and shrug emojis.

“I don’t think he gives a damn what the community thinks,” LaVine said. “They won a game because he called out a play that helped them win.

“I’ve known Chris Paul for a while, man. He’s the ultimate competitor. He doesn’t care if his best friend’s on the court. He’s gonna try to kill ’em.”

Paul's aptitude for knowing the rules knows no bounds. he infamously climbed on Dwight Howard's back during the 2015 playoffs in order to send the big man to the line without any time running off the clock.

Needless to say, CP3 will do whatever it takes to help his team win. The 34-year-old is playing some good basketball for a surprisingly competitive Thunder team currently in playoff position.
