The Saudi-backed LIV Golf tour has spared no expense in its quest become a legitimate rival to the PGA. The rival league has made headlines for its allegedly massive financial offers to some of the world's best golfers. LIV Golf even tried to land 18-time major winner Jack Nicklaus, reportedly offering him around $100 million to run the league before settling on former world no. 1 Greg Norman. While the rival league landed big names, such as Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson, it didn't stop them from trying to get the biggest name in the sport. Norman revealed that LIV Golf made a monster offer to Tiger Woods in an effort to get him to ditch the PGA, per TheComeback.com.

However, he also noted that the league offered Tiger Woods a massive deal to leave the PGA Tour and join LIV. Per Norman, the offer they made was “mind-blowingly enormous.” We’re talking about high nine digits,” Norman said.

Woods was reportedly offered “high nine digits” money to join LIV Golf. The 15-time major winner clearly turned down the offer, as his loyalty to the PGA didn't waver in the face of dollar signs.

It's not particularly surprising that Woods did turn down LIV Golf, as he spoke about how important his legacy is and where his allegiances lie.

While an eye-popping amount of money, it also shouldn't be surprising that Woods was offered such a figure by Norman and company. LIV Golf hasn't been afraid to throw around cash throughout this whole process.

And some of the world's most accomplished golfers have been willing to sacrifice their own legacies for a chance at better earnings. Even with this godfather offer on the table, Woods wasn't one of them.
