Karl-Anthony Towns etched his name in the Minnesota Timberwolves' record books on Sunday by becoming the franchise leader in made 3-pointers.

Entering the Timberwolves' road game against the Toronto Raptors at Amalie Arena, Towns was tied with former teammate Andrew Wiggins and needed only one three to become the sole record holder. The 25-year-old superstar big cashed in the 521st 3-pointer of his career with under four minutes left in the second period.

Here's KAT's milestone, which came at the top of the key off a nice dish from Malik Beasley.

Towns was already heralded for being a modern-day big since Minny picked him first overall in the 2015 draft. The two-time All-Star has been splashing 3s since his rookie year so it's no surprise that he now has the most long-distance makes in Wolves history. Towns has made over 40 percent of his 3-pointers for the Wolves over the last three seasons.

Injuries and the COVID-19 health and safety protocols have limited him to just six games played so far, with averages of 21.8 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.0 blocks in around 32 minutes per game. He scored 25 points and grabbed eight boards in the Wolves' last outing against the Charlotte Hornets.

This is Towns' third game back after that lengthy absence, as the team hopes to put an end to their ugly four-game skid. The Wolves currently hold the worst record in the NBA with a 6-20 slate.

As Towns continues to rake in the individual accolades, no doubt he wants to translate that to team success.
