Karl-Anthony Towns, who was voted as the player general managers around the league would like to build their franchise around, proved even rising stars like him have a favorite player still in the league.

The Minnesota Timberwolves center took questions while he live-streamed a game of Call of Duty over Twitch, one of them being his favorite active NBA player.

“My favorite player in the league? My favorite basketball player right now in the league is… I still love Kevin Durant, he's one of my favorite players,” said Towns, who mentioned he had a lot of talks with Durant during their trip to China last week after his Timberwolves split the preseason series at a game a piece.

Towns has even modeled some of his game after Durant — from his sweeping jabs to extending his range to the three-point line even more in his second season in the league.

While a bigger, bulkier version than the Golden State Warriors forward, Towns is redefining the center position as we speak, boasting a versatile game that can do just about anything on the court, making him just as transcendental as Durant was coming into the league as a lanky 7-footer with innate guard-like abilities.
