Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns fired back at Draymond Green after the Golden State Warriors forward slammed him for his controversial Russell Westbrook take.

To recall, Towns made headlines recently after he said that Westbrook is chasing stats to get his triple-doubles. This didn't sit well with Dray, who called out the Timberwolves big man and claiming he has been stat-chasing himself.

After getting wind of Green's comments, KAT responded and first clarified his comments about Westbrook. He noted that if people actually watched the full context of his remarks, he heaped praise on the Los Angeles Lakers star as he emphasized the difficulty of getting a triple-double. His main point, however, is that Russ' team should be winning more with the number he is producing.

With regards to Draymond's claim that he once watched Towns try to put up bigger numbers by playing in the final two minutes of a Timberwolves blowout loss to the Warriors, KAT has a simple but funny response.

“I didn't know I was the coach. I was the coach? I was told to be in the game with two minutes left down by 20 and I'm the coach? Am I the coach?” the Timberwolves star exclaimed. “Oh sh*t I'm Bill Russell. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm Bill Russell. I forgot I was Bill Russell, too.

“But hey listen, hell of a team. I ain't here to do none of all that disrespectful sh*t and all that stuff. Nah, I ain't here to do all that. I get flowers.”

Here's Towns' full response, with his answer to Green starting at around the three-minute mark:

By the looks of it, this back-and-forth is far from over. However, what we really want to see is Karl-Anthony Towns' response to Joel Embiid, who went savage mode on the Timberwolves leader.
