Former No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins of the Minnesota Timberwolves missed a bucket against the Sacramento Kings on Thursday (not an uncommon occurrence), but then the 24-year-old followed it up with a striking one-handed follow dunk atop Marvin Bagley III’s dome.

After five seasons of being a bust or near-bust after being part of the blockbuster Kevin Love deal in 2014, Wiggins is having what is likely his best season at age 24 in his sixth season.

Wiggins is putting up career-highs in points per game (25.0), rebounds (5.2), assists (3.1) and blocks (1.2), and that’s not even mentioning his improved advanced metrics – such as a career-highs in PER (18.5), win shares per 48 minutes (.071), box plus/minus (-1.1) and value over replacement player (0.2).

Still being able to produce striking highlights such as this one are also positives for the sixth-year wing.
