The Tennessee Titans are set for another road playoff game on Saturday night, with a difficult challenge against the defending champion New England PatriotsAccording to Ian Rapoport of The NFL Network, the Titans head into the contest without the services of three-time Pro Bowl running back DeMarco Murray due to his nagging leg injury.

The 29-year-old is currently dealing with a torn MCL in his right knee, which he suffered in the fourth quarter of Tennessee's Week 16 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The injury typically takes about a month to completely heal. If the Titans are able to get past the Patriots on Saturday night, he could become available to play in the AFC Championship game.

Murray took a step back this season after an impressive 2016 campaign, posting a career-low 659 rushing yards on just 3.6 yards per carry in 15 games played. He only rushed for more than 100 yards once while failing to break 70 yards in every other game. Murray has two more seasons remaining on his four-year, $25.2 million deal that will pay him a combined $13 million.

With Murray out, second-year running back Derrick Henry is once again pushed into the primary backfield role. Henry put together a huge performance against the Kansas City Chiefs in the wild card round to help fuel their comeback win, rushing for a career-high 156 yards on 23 carries with a touchdown while also hauling in two catches for 35 yards

Despite splitting carry duties with Murray for much of his NFL career, Henry has proven to be a productive player with a career-high 744 yards and five touchdowns this season.

The Patriots could be a pretty favorable matchup for the Titans in at least one area, as New England ranked 20th against the run this season and second-worst in the league with 4.7 yards allowed per attempt.
