Tennessee Titans star halfback Derrick Henry raced out of the gate in 2021, appearing to be on a historic trajectory. Henry was an unstoppable force through the first eight games of the season, rushing for 937 yards and 10 touchdowns. However, injury proved to be the only thing capable of standing in his way, as he suffered a Jones fracture in his right foot during an October game against the Indianapolis Colts. Henry returned in the playoffs after missing the remainder of the regular season.

With the start of the 2022 NFL season just three months away, Henry spoke to reporters about the foot injury. The Titans star made some interesting comments, per Terry McCormick of Titansinsider.com.

Henry said that “having football taken away due to injury” made him appreciate the sport even more. Not only that, but Henry went on to say that he's been doing physical therapy with the doctor who performed his foot surgery.

The Titans imposing halfback told reporters that “he's good.” Henry appears to be healthy and in a great state of mind this offseason.

That's bad news for opposing defenses in the upcoming NFL season. Henry has led the league in rushing yards in two of the last three seasons- and was well on his way to doing so again last year.

Healthy and hungry, Henry seems poised for another strong campaign in 2022.
