The Tennessee Titans comfortably won over the Jacksonville Jaguars, but the game didn't happen as smoothly as they wanted it to be as Taylor Lewan was hit by Yannick Ngakoue at a blind spot.

It wouldn't have been weird for the 28-year-old Titan to lash out at his opponent for the cheap shot, but he took the high road and calmed himself down. However, he didn't let the issue pass by without saying anything about Ngakoue's actions.

“Yeah, it was in the area where the ribs are usually placed in the anatomy,” Lewan said, per Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk. “It’s football, man. That stuff happens. I’m just happy I didn’t get penalties. . . .I was being smart about stuff. A couple of times it was hard to hold my tongue, but overall it was good.”

Ngakoue's cheap shot was so painfully obvious that Mike Vrabel wondered how the officials who were closer to the action weren't able to catch it.

“Sure did,” Vrabel said when asked if he saw it, via video from Paul Kuharsky of paulkuharsky.com. “The only people that didn’t see it were the seven officials out there, so, again, I appreciate [Lewan] keeping his composure, but everybody else saw it except for the guys that could potentially do anything about it.”

This is the latest knock on officials' inability to make the proper game-time calls. They have been under scrutiny from plenty of players and fans for their inconsistent calls. This doesn't give them a good look at all.

Fortunately for the Titans, they managed to walk away with the W. Lewan was delighted with the result as he waved Ngakoue and the Jaguars goodbye at the expiry of the game clock.
