Tennessee Titans cornerback Tye Smith scored on a return of a blocked field goal attempt from Adam Vinatieri of the Indianapolis Colts, giving the Titans the victory in the AFC South clubs' Week 13 matchup (via NFL).

It's been a tough year for the 46-year-old kicker, with the Colts' Vinatieri missing five field goals and six extra points entering Sunday's matchup with the Titans. Colts head coach Frank Reich remained committed to the veteran Vinatieri a few weeks ago, stating he would keep everybody “accountable.”

“We’d been committed to him, but like everybody … we’re going to always evaluate,” Reich said, according to Joel Erickson of The Indianapolis Star. “Everyone gets measured, everyone’s held accountable. From top to bottom, that’s always the case. Nothing meant to read into that, that’s just the reality.”

Smith, 26, a third-year special teams player out of Towson, was the beneficiary of his teammates' hard work getting around the edge of Indianapolis' blocking to get to the ball on the field goal attempt and block it. Smith had a clear path to the end zone after scooping up the football.

Tennessee won, 31-17.
