The Eastern Conference Finals have arrived in the wild world of hockey as the Florida Panthers head to the Big Apple for Game 1 to take on the New York Rangers. Join us for our NHL odds series where our Panthers-Rangers Game 1 prop bets prediction and pick will be unveiled.

The Rangers have arguably been of the more dominant teams during the NHL postseason up to this point. Believe it or not, New York has managed to lose just twice throughout their playoff run. Overall, the Rangers boast a 7-2 record and will arguably be a tough nut to crack in these conference finals.

On the other side of things, the Panthers are also making a strong case to win the Stanley Cup for the first time in franchise history. Similarly to New York, it has been Florida that has breezed their way through the postseason at the halfway point of their ultimate goal. After edging out the Rangers in two of the three matchups in the regular season, this showdown will most likely be one to remember.

Panthers-Rangers Game 1 Props

Vincent Trocheck Any Time Goal Scorer: +250

Igor Shesterkin Over 28.5 Saves: -130

Matthew Tkachuk To Record 1+ Point: -188

Vincent Trocheck Any Time Goal Scorer

Without a doubt, the mighty New York Rangers center has been on an absolute tear during this year's postseason. Currently, the 30-year-old is tied with fellow center Mike Zibanejad for the team lead in total playoff points. Not to mention, but six of those points have come in the form of goals including finding the back of the net for a score in the closeout win over the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Surprisingly, Trocheck scored only 25 goals during the regular season, but he currently has a hot stick that cannot be denied. At the end of the day, taking Trocheck to be an all-time goal scorer in Game 1 of this series seems like a reasonable bet to make.

Igor Shesterkin Over 28.5 Saves

Arguably enough, Shesterkin has been one of the top goaltenders in all of hockey for multiple years now. Having patrolled the crease for the Rangers dating back to the 2019-2020 season, the now 28-year-old netminder has recorded at least 28.5 saves in three of his last five outings in net. During the season, Shesterkin held a top-ten save percentage and even recorded a whopping season-high 42 saves in a March 26th victory over the Philadelphia Flyers. Simply put, Shesterkin is an absolute human wall when guarding the cage. While the Panthers will have to string together a good amount of shots on goal for this to hit, there is no doubt that the Shesterkin will be up for the challenge.

Matthew Tkachuk To Record 1+ Point

One of the more talented skaters with the stick for a high-octane Florida offense, the one Panthers player included on this list happens to be Matthew Tkachuk. Although the 26-year-old Scottsdale native has been hit or miss of late, let's not forget that he began this postseason with at least one point recorded in six consecutive contests.

Most recently, Tkachuk was able to contribute in the points department with a lone assist in the 2-1 win closeout win over the Boston Bruins in Game 6, but he was surprisingly held from tallying any points in the two matchups prior. All in all, the Panthers are going to need Tkachuk's impressive skill set to get past a well-rounded Rangers squad. Don't expect Tkachuk to come out flat for the opening game of what should be an entertaining Eastern Conference Finals.
