Tottenham Hotspur managed to stun Premier League leaders Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium over the weekend, but when it came time to capitalize on their win, Spurs fell flat on their faces. A road game against Burnley should have been no sweat for a team capable of topping Manchester City away from home, yet Antonio Conte's side failed to get a ball into the net in the 1-0 defeat. After the game, Conte didn't hold back with his harsh criticism of the squad, even throwing his own future with the team into question, via Fabrizio Romano.

Conte has been one of soccer's most successful coaches, so his lack of wins at Tottenham has been eye-opening to say the least. The club has gone through a number of top coaches in the past few years, including Mauricio Pochettino, Nuno Santos, Jose Mourinho, and now Conte. While Pochettino led the team to a Champions League final, he was fired not long after as the team had struggled in the subsequent season.

Conte acknowledged that the club isn't playing up to the level it's capable of, but insisted he's doing all he can to correct what's going wrong. Still, he couldn't help but wonder if he was still the right man for the project, one which is clearly more taxing than he had anticipated.

Tottenham have lost four of their past five Premier League games, including upsets at the hands of Southampton and Wolves. Spurs have also lost three games in a row to Chelsea since the start of the calendar year.

When it came to his future with the organization, Conte admitted he's “open for every decision” because he “wants to help Tottenham.” Spurs signed a pair of players from Italian giants Juventus at the transfer deadline, Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur, but the club also saw four players depart, including record-signing Tanguy Ndombele, and once-highly-touted midfielder Dele Alli.
