After missing the team's flight to Kentucky for their preseason game and missing a morning shootaround last week, Sacramento Kings guard Ty Lawson was reportedly asked by the team officials to explain his side.

It now appears that the North Carolina product will remain with the team as he was seen in practice on Monday. Head coach Dave Joerger came to his player's defense, stating that some information that came out was not correct and Kings' general manager Vlade Divac feels positive on still having Lawson on their squad:

This development may come as a surprise to many after a video from TMZ Sports surfaced with the 28-year-old partying in a Las Vegas nightclub with Ben McLemore and Willie Cauley-Stein last Thursday.

Although his teammates made the flight the following day, Lawson missed it and his partying was thought to be the reason he was not able join the team as they traveled to Kentucky. The Kings then labeled said his absence was due to “personal reasons.”

The Sacramento faithful can now breathe a sigh of relief as their point guard and the Kings appear to finally be on the same page. The team is expected to start him at least for the first eight games of the season while Darren Collison is serving his suspension.

Should Lawson come off the bench once their starter returns, he'll still play a significant role and provide quality minutes while relieving Collison.
