The time has come and yet another UFC Fight card is here, this time from the beautiful land of Saudi Arabia. 22 fighters took to the scales and weighed-in for their respective bouts as they try to close on their ultimate goal of UFC gold. The action will be wall-to-wall on ESPN+ as fight fans are treated to yet another exciting card!

The Main Event is set to feature No. 3-ranked Middleweight Robert Whittaker takes on a new opponent and rising prospect Ikram Aliskerov of Russia. After scheduling to face Khamzat Chimaev, Whittaker pivots a week-out from his bout and will risk his ranking to fend-off one of the rising killers of the division. Ikram Aliskerov will see his first Main Event after just 2 UFC appearances, hoping to propel his career forward with a win.

The Co-Main event will feature two ranked Russians as No. 3 Sergei Pavlovich takes on No. 5 Alexander Volkov in a high-stakes bout. Both men have been atop the Heavyweight rankings for quite some time and there seems to be bad blood between the two. Pavlovich is looking to get back into title conversations following his loos to Tom Aspinall, while Volkov looks for his long-awaited title shot with one more victory to go.

Johnny Walker vs. Volkan Oezdemir DOES NOT Go the Distance (-200)

Both men come into this matchup as established UFC vets with a knack for finishing fights. Johnny Walker just went on an impressive three-fight winning streak that saw him notch two finishes during that stretch. Of Walker's last 10 fights, just three have gone towards a decision and given the way he's been fighting, he doesn't plan on seeing the judges' scorecards anytime soon. Volkan Oezdemir has certainly seen more decisions during his recent streak, but he just won with a submission for the first time in his UFC career and he'll be confident heading into this one.

Both of these fighters have solid chins, but we've seen Johnny Walker get knocked out by less powerful punchers than Oezdemir. Oezdemir is nearly impossible to knockout himself, but don't sleep on the power of Johnny Walker if he's able to land a clean shot. I don't expect this fight to go very deep given the total rounds at 1.5 and the ability of both these men to end the fight. Let's roll with this one to end inside the distance as we play the best odds here.

Sergei Pavlovich Wins in Round 1 (+125) vs. Alexander Volkov

Sergei Pavlovich is coming into this matchup at the -200 betting favorite and he's one of the few Heavyweights that can matchup Volkov's imposing physicality in the cage. Three of Volkov's last four fights have ended in the first round and while he's been on the right side of two of them, it's clear he's willing to step in there and get the job done in the first round. As for Pavlovich, all eight of his UFC appearances have ended in the first round.

When dealing with two willing finishers like this, I expect both men to go at each other immediately from the opening bell. While Pavlovich may struggle with reaching Volkov's chin at first, it's only a matter of time before he backs him into the cage and lands a few power shots through his flurries. It'll be interesting to see how Pavlovich fares if this fight makes it to the second round, but let's ride him to win this fight in the first as it's been commonplace for him up to this point.

Robert Whittaker Wins by Decision (+250) vs. Ikram Aliskerov

Robert Whittaker is facing a completely different opponent from his original matchup of Khamzat Chimaev and while he'll have to slightly pivot his game plan, the goal of winning this fight remains the same. Whittaker looked to be in absolute vintage form during his last fight against a dominant striker like Paulo Costa. Ikram Aliskerov shouldn't offer any striking looks Whittaker isn't accustomed to, but the Russian's chin could hold up well through the entirety of this fight.

Robert Whittaker also has a fantastic 82% takedown defense rate and he'll be ready for the grappling coming back his way. His defense has been solid throughout his whole career and I expect him to fend-off the offense of Aliskerov in this one. Let's roll with the former champion to cement his place in the division as he calls for a title shot.
