The Minnesota Timberwolves lost a great veteran leader last week when future Hall-of Kevin Garnett opted to end his 21-year career as a player. Now, there are reports that Garnett will be staying around the game of basketball, either as a coach or an assistant.

According to Jason Lloyd of hte Akron Beacon Journal, Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue has extended an invite to Garnett to join his championship coaching staff and he's strongly considering it. Lue was an assistant coach on the Celtics when Garnett was there and is also good friends with him. Lue added that Garnett will be in attendance for the Cavs ring night and championship ceremony when the NBA season tips off October 25th.

However, today, Kevin Garnett was seen in Los Angeles with the coach he won the 2008 NBA Championship with Doc Rivers. According to Arash Markazi of ESPN, Garnett wasn't training with the entire L.A. Clippers‘ squad, but he was doing drills and working out with Blake Griffin.

Here are a few clips of Garnett teaching Griffin moves on the low block during the Clippers third day of training camp at U.C. Irvine.

When Garnett returned to the Minnesota Timberwolves last year, he told the media he would not look into coaching at all. However, Both the Clippers and Cavaliers want Garnett on their coaching staff, and if he's reportedly mulling both options, he'll be a great addition to either team's coaching staff.

Garnett seriously considered playing for the Timberwolves this past year before opting for retirement, so if a team were to bring him on as an assistant coach or a player development coach, he could still put up a fight inside the paint and get aggressive as he has his entire career.
