The Baltimore Ravens knew full well they would need to find a way to put points on the board against the high-powered Los Angeles Chargers. Fortunately, quarterback Lamar Jackson and tight end Mark Andrews were able to oblige.

The Ravens had failed to reach the end zone in the first half. They finally managed to do so with a 68-yard touchdown pass from Jackson to Andrews, via NFL Twitter:

Plays like these certainly provide fans with plenty to be excited about. Baltimore's offense had lacked explosiveness throughout the 2018 NFL season. However, that quickly changed as soon as Jackson took over under center. Although he has established himself as a bonafide playmaker with his legs, it has not been supplemented much by his arm.

While most of the attention has been on Jackson as of late, he is not the only rookie making an impact on offense. Andrews has also etched out a modest role for himself in the Ravens' offense. He was selected in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He has since registered 28 reception for 415 yards and two touchdowns thus far.

It is no secret that this game will have serious implications on the AFC Playoff picture. Despite the circumstances, the Ravens have decided to move forward with Jackson under center. Their decision is indicative of the confidence they have in the rookie. He can continue to solidify his status as the future franchise quarterback with a win over the formidable Chargers. A victory over Los Angeles will put Baltimore in control of their own destiny for the postseason.
