There is now growing optimism over whether running back Dalvin Cook will feature in the Minnesota Vikings' upcoming Week 4 home game against the Cleveland Browns.

Cook missed the Vikings' Week 3 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks due to a minor ankle sprain injury. He suffered the injury during his team's clash with the Arizona Cardinals, although he still totaled for 148 yards from scrimmage in the contest.

The Vikings star running back has been limited in practice all week and as it stands, he is being listed as questionable for the upcoming matchup with the Browns.

Cook did note to the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero that he felt “really good” after practice this week and will receive much rest over the next 48 hours. And barring any setbacks, Cook expects to feature against the Browns in Week 4.

Cook also made clear that he currently does not feel he is at 100 percent but rather is closer to the “90th percentile.”

Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer added during his press conference on Friday that Cook “looked pretty good” in practice today.

It will be noteworthy to see whether Cook will receive the green light to feature in this upcoming clash against the Browns and their vaunted front seven. If he ends up being ruled out for the contest, then backup running back Alexander Mattison will once again earn the call to start for Minnesota. He is just coming off of the notable 171 yards from scrimmage outing against the Seahawks in Week 3.

The Vikings are aiming to avoid a 1-3 start in Week 4 for the second straight season.
