The Minnesota Vikings were without star wide receiver Adam Thielen for the last two games due to an ankle injury, but it looks like he's going to try to give it a go in a crucial game against the Los Angeles Rams.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Saturday night that Thielen is expected to play, and NFL Media's Tom Pelissero followed up early Sunday morning with a report stating that the wideout is pushing to play.

Thielen was hoping to suit up in the Monday Night Football victory over the Chicago Bears, but he just wasn't ready yet. Now in what could be a make-or-break game for this Vikings' season, the veteran is set to return.

Thielen and Justin Jefferson make up one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL, if not the best. This season, the 31-year-old has caught 64 passes for 686 yards and 10 touchdowns in 12 games. Jefferson has 89 catches for 1,335 yards and nine scores.

Minnesota is 7-7 this season and clinging to the seventh and final playoff spot in the NFC. The Vikings are going up against the 10-4 Rams, who are now in great position to win the NFC West as the Arizona Cardinals continue to fall apart. It will take a monster performance from Minnesota to win this crucial game, and Thielen could play a big role in that.
