All it took was one moment for the entire nation to go bananas. For the key principle involved, that moment will last a lifetime.

In a visit with Mike Florio to Pro Football Talk Live, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver explains the “Minneapolis Miracle” will last his entire lifetime.

“No,” Diggs said during a visit to PFT Live. “It was a moment I’ll savor for the rest of my life. For me it’s like appreciate it no matter how long it’s around. Appreciate that moment.”

While it feels obvious—for a professional athlete to savor such a moment—the Vikings loss in the NFC title game in Philadelphia could have easily rubbed some luster off the shine of that incredible moment. Not for Diggs. Not with this moment.

“It’s definitely one of those situations where it hurts more because we got close,” Diggs said. “If we didn’t get close it would’ve been not a conversation. The amount of work that we put in and adversity that we fought through to get to the point that we were with the catch, with all the injuries that we had, with Case Keenum stepping up at quarterback, Adam Thielen emerging as one of the great receivers in the game. For us it was just one of the moments that we were right there. In hindsight we definitely have something to look forward to moving into this next year. Something to build off of. We got a great young team. Trying to keep these pieces together for the most part. I feel like we’ll be right in the mix next year.”

Just in case you decided to hibernate during the divisional round, Diggs' incredible moment they've since dubbed the “Minneapolis Miracle” earned absolutely every bit of the nickname.

Trailing by one point on 3rd-down with no timeouts with just 10 seconds to go in the game, Case Keenum and the offense faced a New Orleans Saints defense heavily guarding the sideline. The only thing Pat Shurmur could do was flood one sideline and hope for the best. A short out, a longer out, and a corner route by Diggs allowed a one-on-one with Marcus Williams that'll go down as one of the most miraculous plays in NFL history.

Even more chilling was the end zone pylon view of it that had the building in a complete state of chaos.

Diggs, 24, racked up 64 receptions for 849 yards and eight touchdowns in 14 games of this, his third season in the NFL. Tag-teamed with breakout wideout Adam Theilen makes the Vikings QB position one of the most sought-after spots in the NFL this offseason.
