Wide receiver Antonio Brown made it official that he is ready to part ways with the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason. It appears Minnesota Vikings cornerback Xavier Rhodes has already begun the recruiting process.

There has been plenty of speculation regarding where Brown will land next. Rhodes welcomed him to Minnesota with open arms, via Twitter.

There will be no shortage of interest for Brown this offseason. It is not often that arguably the best player at his position hit the market due to unforeseen circumstances. The majority of the teams in the NFL would be more than happy to potentially acquire a player of his caliber. It seems Rhodes is hoping that the Vikings are one of them.

It is easy to see where Rhodes' admiration from Brown stems from. Both players share quite a history as former high school teammates in South Florida. It is clear that Rhodes is excited at the prospect of reuniting with Brown.

Of course, the possibility of the Vikings actually acquiring Brown seems a bit far-fetched. They already boast one of the deadliest wide receiver duos in the NFL in Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs. Minnesota has too many other voids to fill on their roster before trading away valuable assets for another elite wideout.

Perhaps Rhodes may want to delay the welcoming ceremony until after the offseason. Rumors recently surfaced regarding Minnesota's interest in potentially trading him for some cap relief. The chances of Rhodes and Brown reuniting this offseason could significantly increase if that were to happen.
