What happened at Neyland Stadium on Saturday night between Tennessee and Ole Miss is something that hopefully stays away from college football. With the Rebels leading late and less than a minute left, Volunteers fans started throwing all sorts of things in the direction of the Ole Miss sideline and at Lane Kiffin.

As a results, Tennessee has been fined.

It was obvious that some sort of punishment was going to be handed down. The delay seemed to take forever as Tennessee fans kept hurling anything from golf balls to a mustard bottle to water bottles down onto the field.

Kiffin had a golf ball land right next to his feet on the fly and as he was exiting the stadium, he caught a water bottle that was heading right towards him and security.

The ironic part of the whole ordeal is that at the time of this chaos, Tennessee still wasn't out of the game. They trailed 31-26 with less than a minute left but actually got the ball back and had a shot from the Ole Miss 20-yard line on the last play of the game to try and win it. They fell short and somewhat deservedly so. Not so much for the players, but it would've been bizarre to see a fan base that acted so foolishly get rewarded at the end by seeing their team win.

Tension were high going into the game as it was Kiffin's return to Knoxville. He got the final laugh against Tennessee and now the schools has been fined on top of losing the game.
