The Golden State Warriors, by consensus, has been one of the most dominant teams in league history. After taking over the basketball scene in 2015 and winning an NBA championship, the Warriors acquired 2014 MVP Kevin Durant and immediately won the 2017 NBA title after only losing one game in the playoffs.

Even today, the Warriors have obviously coasted to where they are now. Although they are currently ranked second in the Western Conference, the Warriors have proven time and time again that their inner strength comes out in the postseason. Though, that doesn't excuse the Warriors from becoming complacent sometimes.

In fact, Warriors assistant coach Ron Adams has constantly reminded his team to stay focused, keeping them challenged all throughout the season, according to Kurt Streeter of the New York Times.

Kerr has discovered that Adams’s truth-telling doesn’t show itself in dramatic confrontation but in the steady grind of the day to day. Even during a winning streak, “Ron will tell me, ‘We stunk last night,’” Kerr says. “He will say it to my face. He does not get fooled by our record. He’ll walk into practice and tell me we have to do a certain defensive drill, we can’t forget the fundamentals, because we’ve been awful.’” Durant, Curry and Thompson laud Adams for holding them accountable. “‘You could have contested that shot. … You could have made that guy miss. … You’ve got to use that length of yours . … Verticality! Verticality!’” Durant says, mimicking the way Adams bends his ear.

The Warriors' goal now will be to finish the regular season strong and recover the first seed from their rival, the Houston Rockets. Although Kerr has said before that health comes first rather than the top seed.
