Moving to a new team can be an arduous endeavor for NBA players. They're often asked to change their style of play, or even their position entirely. D'Angelo Russell isn't all that worried about adapting to his new role with the Golden State Warriors, however. In fact, he's confident the team will be able to maximize his set of skills.

Russell, who was dealt to the Golden State Warriors this offseason as part of a sign-and-trade package for Kevin Durant, joined NBA TV during a recent podcast. Amid the interview, the 23-year-old point guard noted that he isn't worried about adapting to any specific style of play:

“I think this is a prime example of an organization and a system offensively that takes advantage and maximizes each individual player,” Russell said during his interview with NBA TV. “[The Warriors] have done a great job of adapting any player that comes to their roster, so I’m not worried at all about what style of play I’ll have to adapt to. I know it’s going to be special.”

Russell should be a fine addition for the Warriors. The former Ohio State standout racked up the best statistical figures of his career last season, averaging 21.1 points on 43.4 percent shooting from the field (36.9 percent from beyond the arc), 7.0 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 30.2 minutes per outing.

Exactly how the Warriors plan on using Russell's services in the coming season is still up for debate, but it's clear that he is excited to start this new chapter.
