The Golden State Warriors collapsed against the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, and Draymond Green knows why.

Ahead of Game 2 on Sunday, Green opened up about the biggest mistake the Warriors made in their defeat: not being more physical and aggressive on defense. Sure enough, he is hoping they could change things in their next showdown.

“We have to play with more force on the defensive end,” Green shared, per Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN. “I think there were times in the game when they didn't feel us, when you're playing against a great team at this level at this point in the season, they have to feel you every possession. We just have to make sure they feel us every possession.”

Draymond Green's analysis is definitely on point. The Warriors led by as much as 15 points in the contest and headed to the fourth quarter with a 12-point advantage. However, they let the Celtics erase that advantage and obliterate them in the fourth quarter to steal the 120-108 win.

Sure enough, the Warriors can do way better on the defensive end.

For what it's worth, Green himself has taken responsibility for the defeat. As Golden State's defensive anchor, he should have set the tone on that department, especially in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case as he even found himself getting fouled out late.

The Warriors need to respond and win Game 2, and as Green said it, their defense will play a big role in that.
