Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green found himself involved in the recent Robert Sarver scandal. Apparently, the Phoenix Suns owner cited Green's name while using the n-word in a disturbing rant back in 2016.

As reported earlier, the incident happened back in 2016 when the Suns palyed the Warriors at home. Sarver visited the Phoenix locker room after the contest and questioned why Green was allowed to use the n-word–all this in front of then head coach Earl Watson.

Here's the excerpt of what allegedly went down:

After the loss, Suns majority owner Robert Sarver entered the coaches locker room, Watson told ESPN.

“You know, why does Draymond Green get to run up the court and say [N-word],” Sarver, who is white, allegedly said, repeating the N-word several times in a row.

“You can’t say that,” Watson, who is Black and Hispanic, told Sarver.

“Why?” Sarver replied. “Draymond Green says [N-word].”

“You can’t f—ing say that,” Watson said again.

Now, during his latest media appearance, Green addressed the issue and admitted that it wasn't new to him. As the Warriors forward mentioned, he has heard it before since word travels fast in the league.

Clearly, though, Green was not happy with what transpired. No one would be, anyway. He made that stance clear even before his talks with the media when he seemingly reacted to the controversy on Twitter.

For what it's worth, the NBA has already opened investigation regarding the allegations thrown at the Suns boss. In fact, the league hired the same law firm that handled the Donald Sterling case with the Los Angeles Clippers.

If proven true, though, Sarver could be facing serious consequences that could even cost him his ownership of the franchise.
