SAN FRANCISCO — The Golden State Warriors are out to a 5-1 start to the season after destroying the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday night. The Warriors' only defeat so far came at the hands of Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies in overtime. They've shown their depth without Klay Thompson, so the near future looks promising for the Dubs, and Draymond Green knows it as well.

“I think we're a pretty good basketball team right now, with a lot of room to grow. …Without Klay, we can still be a pretty good team, but with Klay, you know, you're talking a whole different ballgame. So we need him back,” Green tells ClutchPoints.

The last time the Warriors had a healthy Thompson on the team, they played in the NBA Finals year after year. Adding an All-Star of his caliber will only equal good things for this roster. If he's only 70 percent of what he was, the rest of the league is in trouble.

The 3-point specialist is as efficient as there is when it comes to scoring. The Warriors shooting guard is a human microwave, and it doesn't take him long to get hot. No matter the role he's in when he first returns to the court, he will be able to fit in. His game is moving without the ball and knocking down shots in catch-and-shoot situations. A lot of times, he doesn't even need to dribble.

Since Thompson has been away from the team, the Dubs haven't made the playoffs yet. His return will likely end that negative streak, and it might even take the Warriors to an NBA championship if things go right.
