The Golden State Warriors are likely to play the remainder of their preseason schedule without Draymond Green and James Wiseman, per ESPN‘s Nick Friedell. Team general manager Bob Myers previously announced that two of their players tested positive for COVID-19 but ultimately decided not to name the said individuals.

However, both Green and Wiseman were the only two players who were missing from the Warriors' team practice which suspects them to be the people who recently contracted the coronavirus.

On the floor, Dub Nation has already started their ramp-ups for the upcoming season after playing one preseason game, to date. Their first tilt came against the Denver Nuggets where they managed to overcome the all-around productivity of opposing All-Star big man Nikola Jokic who balled out with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists for his team.

The Warriors answered back and leaned on unlikely contributors in the returning veteran Kent Bazemore who tallied 13 markers and five boards in 18 minutes played followed by Damion Lee who provided instant offense after scoring 12 points in just 11 minutes of action.

Stephen Curry struggled from the field in his first game back where he recorded 10 points on a 3-of-10 shooting clip through 21 minutes played. Nonetheless, his return served as an encouraging sign for the Warriors who have greatly missed his production in the past season.

A strong first-half performance by the Warriors proved to be enough to fend off the resilient Nuggets en route to a tight 107-105 victory. The Warriors will close out their preseason slate with two consecutive encounters against the Sacramento Kings before opening their season against the Brooklyn Nets on Dec. 22.
