Throughout the course of this dynasty that the Golden State Warriors have built, Draymond Green has played a vital role in the flow of the offense.

Given that the Dubs already possess one of the most prolific scorers in NBA history in Kevin Durant–not to mention two of the best shooters ever in Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson–Green's ability to distribute the basketball and be an excellent screener are just few of the intangible qualities that make him such a key cog for the Warriors.

Green spoke to reporters on Wednesday ahead of Game 3 of Golden State's first-round matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers, saying that he was pleased with his individual play, but needs to cut down on the turnovers moving forward:

Green averaged 2.6 turnovers in 31.3 minutes per game during the regular season, but has already committed 10 total turnovers in the first two games of the series.

However, Green's usage rate has risen exponentially as compared to the regular season, where he averaged 7.4 points, 7.3 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game. Through the first two games, Green is averaging 15.5 points, 8.0 assists, 5.0 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks, affecting the game on both sides.

Green has hardly been the only Warrior that has struggled to take care of the ball. Golden State committed 21 turnovers in Game 1 and 22 turnovers in Game 2, including a season-high nine giveaways by Durant.

With the Clippers hoping to keep up their aggressive and harassing style of defense and the Warriors losing DeMarcus Cousins, Green and co. may look to get out and score in transition more frequently.
