Klay Thompson won't be making the Christmas day return that many Golden State Warriors fans had hoped for. But he's still right on the cusp of getting back on the court.

According to his Warriors teammate Juan Toscano-Anderson, Klay Thompson is looking mighty spry, “explosive” even, behind closed doors. The third-year forward spoke out on the sidelined Splash Brother after a recent practice session.

Via Shayna Rubin:

“Klay is one of those dudes,” Toscano Anderson said on Wednesday after the Warriors practice. “I was like, ‘Man this dude just came off an injury for over a year and he’s competing.’ That goes to say, he looks like he hasn’t lost a step. Explosive. Can shoot the ball. I’m really excited to see him out there, as a fan and a teammate.”

JTA even admitted that Klay Thompson was getting buckets on him during their scrimmage just a couple of weeks back. The man is more than ready to face NBA defenses again – the Warriors are just triple checking before they give the go signal.

“I can imagine it will be one of those moments, like him scoring 37 points in a quarter or a game-winner. Just one of those special moments for Warriors fans,” Juan Toscano-Anderson added. “Obviously he’s beloved by Warriors fans and the entire Bay Area. Klay is a legend here, and that’s coming from a true hometown kid. I can only imagine what it will be like to be like for the fans. I, myself, am excited to see him out there. That’s what sports are about, right?”

2022 is gonna start off with a bang for Warriors fans when Klay Thompson inevitably returns. Hopefully he'll be as explosive as Juan Toscano-Anderson has seen from him in practice.
