Thanks to Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors managed to tie the NBA Finals at two games apiece on Friday night as he erupted for a mind-boggling 43 points. Steph looks on his way to Finals MVP if the Dubs can win it all as well.

Considering this is the Warriors' first time in the championship since Kevin Durant left, there have been lots of comparisons between him and Steph, with many doubting Curry could take the Dubs to this point. Well, Durant was also swept in four games by these same Boston Celtics and this comparison between his and Steph's stats says a lot.

Same opponent, much different statistics. KD had limited help in that series but in fairness, the Warriors aren't exactly supporting Steph much, either. He's literally carrying the team.

It's extremely tough to compare Durant and Curry. Both have their strengths (and essentially no weaknesses) but based on the numbers, Steph is putting KD to shame against a stout Celtics defense.

People like to base a player's career on how many titles he's won, which makes sense to a certain extent. But even if Steph Curry wins another ring with the Warriors by the end of this series, it doesn't mean he's better than Kevin Durant. It just doesn't work that way. It simply means he just fared better in this instant vs. Boston.

Nevertheless, the stat lines side to side is definitely eye-opening.
