After more than two seasons on the sidelines, rehabbing from his injuries, Klay Thompson is reportedly set to return to the Golden State Warriors real soon. Naturally, the expectations are he would be eased into the rotation as he shapes his body to game action. Moreover, the Dubs will be cautious of his condition in order to prevent him from sustaining another long-term injury.

However, Thompson himself has a different mindset ahead of his comeback. The Warriors sharpshooter isn't concerned about getting hurt again, especially since he knows his last two injuries were “freak accidents” rather than a result of strenuous activities or overworking. To recall, Klay suffered a torn ACL in his left knee during the 2019 NBA Finals, and when he was on track to return in 2020-21, he tore his right Achilles during the offseason.

“I don’t fear getting hurt again. The last two times was a freak accident,” Thompson said, per Nick Friedell of ESPN.

According to recent rumors, Klay Thompson is on pace to return to the Warriors' active roster during the week of Christmas. While there is no specific date for his return, the latest reports corroborate previous talks about a Christmas return for him.

Getting Thompson back is undoubtedly a massive boost for the Dubs, who are already playing well even without their star shooting guard. The Warriors are 15-2 on the season, with Stephen Curry having another MVP-caliber season to lead the way.

With Klay, Golden State is quickly looking like a true title contender once again.
