Klay Thompson's return to the Golde State Warriors marks a huge day for the franchise. The five-time All-Star hasn't played since 2019 and is finally healthy enough to play again. For a Warriors team that has legitimate title hopes, getting Thompson back is as good of a boost as they could get.

As the Warriors face the Cleveland Cavaliers at Chase Center, Thompson is expected to only play 20 minutes at most, per head coach Steve Kerr. Any amount of playing time will suffice, though, as Thompson is no stranger to catching fire and scoring at will.

In pregame warmups, Thompson looked as good as he ever has. Warriors fans got to see the second Splash Brother back on the court for the first time in over 900 days.

Thomson's picture-perfect jump shot should allow him to have an impact no matter what his physical status is. His shooting off the dribble adds more firepower to the Warriors' already incredible offense. It also allows Jordan Poole to come off the bench, adding more scoring to the team's second unit. Thompson's defense will also be a great boost for Golden State, who already has the league's best defense.

The Warriors, who were championship favorites without Thompson, will get even stronger with numbers as their franchise star gets reacclimated to the game. Golden State will face a tough opponent in the spry Cavs, armed with breakout point gaurd Darius Garland and rookie stud Evan Mobley.
