The Golden State Warriors took two seasons away from the playoffs to reload and compete for another title. Although the absences were mostly caused by injuries, the mission was a success. Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and company won the 2022 NBA Finals over the Boston Celtics.

The triumvirate of Curry, Thompson and Green has officially been cemented as one of the greatest trios of all time. After showing that they still have it and winning their fourth title in eight years, they are celebrating their return to the top. They're also making it clear that they want to be back.

Thompson joined a special edition of the Draymond Green Show after winning the series to let the NBA know that they aren't done yet. He said that he will remain with the Warriors for the rest of his career (as long as Steve Kerr is the coach) and that the team has young players and the same core returning next season, which he dubbed “scary” for the rest of the league:

The Warriors' core is aging, with each of them already over 31 years old. However, they have the young bucks to keep going. 27-year-old Andrew Wiggins emerged as a massively important two-way player, while 22-year-old Jordan Poole gives them a huge advantage when he gets going on offense.

Golden State even has rookies Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody and second-year player James Wiseman who could take on bigger roles in the future. There's also the 28th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, along with two second-rounders, that could bring in more. The Dubs are truly not done contending yet.
