The magic number for the Golden State Warriors is seven. After winning Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against the Dallas Mavericks, they're seven wins away from their fourth championship in the past seven seasons.

Before the season even began, Klay Thompson was vocal that this type of result isn't one they should feel fortunate to be in. For a title-winning team like the Warriors, they expect nothing less.

“We are now the type of team where it’s championship or bust,” Thompson said back in November. “And that’s a really cool position to be in. Not a lot of players get to experience that.”

With the Warriors now one of the last four teams standing in pursuit of the 2022 NBA championship, they're clearly backing up the talk.

Stephen Curry spoke out about the early-season prediction made by his Splash Brother. The Warriors star wants nothing more than to make Klay Thompson's clairvoyance come true.

“It's funny, because him being away, I expected him to say something like just in anticipation of him coming back. We're not skipping ahead in any part of this journey. Would love to make him a prophet this year,” said the Warriors star.

Let's see if the Warriors can reach their title aspirations.
