Tagged as an NBA journeyman, Quinn Cook has been with several NBA and G League Teams. People now know him for his stint with the Golden State Warriors. Only some people know about his short run with the New Orleans Pelicans — a team where he forged several good relationships. And mainly because of this fact, the 25-year-old confessed, that despite going up against them in the second round of the playoffs, no ill-feelings exist.

As reported by Logan Murdock of The Mercury News, the Duke standout shared his thoughts on the Pelicans. He reflected on the relationships he built during his time in New Orleans. Asked if he has bad vibes towards them, he responded:

“No, not at all,” Cook said Thursday afternoon. “I’m just so focused on what we have to do here. Whether we were playing them or another team, I’d still approach the game the same way.”

On Alvin Gentry, Cook said:

“I learned a lot from him,” Cook said. “He helped me on and off the floor. We still have a relationship to this day.”

“I respected him and he respected me,” Cook added. “I did whatever I was told. I stayed ready, I stayed professional. I thought I guy like that would respect that. I always asked questions. I think they respected I was there the entire summer.”

Cook's number will be called more often as Stephen Curry will likely be out in the first few games of the series. And in the last 10 games of the season with Curry out and Cook stepping in as a starter, he averaged 15.4 points and 5.0 assists per game.
