The Golden State Warriors got a massive boost ahead of Game 2 of their first-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Clippers, as guard Shaun Livingston has been cleared to play.

Livingston was initially listed as questionable for the game with a left knee soreness.

The 33-year-old guard played for 12 minutes in Game 1 last Saturday. However, he failed to score during his time on the court and tallied just two rebounds. He was obviously not his usual self, with his nagging knee issue clearly bothering him.

Shaun Livingston is a key cog off the bench for the Warriors, as he he tasked to provide stability on the backcourt whenever Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson sit.

During the 2018-19 regular season, Livingston averaged 4.0 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists. He shot 51.9 percent overall and 78.4 percent from the free-throw line.

While Livingston is not expected to play heavy minutes in the playoffs, the Warriors need him to be ready whenever the situation calls for him. The Dubs' depth has been questioned a lot this season, and most experts think the second unit is one of Golden State's weakest link.

It's up to Livingston and Andre Iguodala to lead the bench mob, so staying healthy is their top priority.
