San Francisco, CA – We've all heard the term “when he gets it going”, typically when a player has a big night offensively. But when you're the best shooter in the world, what does that mean?

Saturday night against the Houston Rockets, the two-time MVP Stephen Curry had 38 points with eight three-pointers, and he's scored at least 30 points in six straight games. A milestone, a Golden State Warriors player hasn't reached since Rick Barry in 1974.

The Warriors icon's superior shooting ability separates him from most players, making him one of the greatest scorers of all time. In his postgame interview, he modestly spoke about what it means for him to have it going.

“I mean, I’ve had bad games before and hopefully a lot of good ones,” the Warriors star said. “The mentality is the same. It’s just a matter if you make or miss, what type of shots you’re trying to create, and that type of stuff. I hope to be going a lot more than I’m not,” Curry told ClutchPoints.

A performance like on Saturday could easily be seen as just another game for Curry. I mean, it was only eight three-pointers and 38 points. In his career, he's scored a career-high 62, and he has the second-most three-pointers in a single game with 13. Saturday won't go down as one of his best games ever, but it would have for most players.

Curry has raised the bar so high throughout his career, he's changed the way we understand what a hot shooting night actually means. But one thing that's for sure is Warriors fans will enjoy watching and trying to figure it out.
